Battery Recycling at the Library with Scouting America

Event Details

Forest Park Public Library and the local troop from Scouting America are partnering to help you recycle your used batteries! Starting Monday, March 10th, bring your used batteries to the library and we’ll put them aside to be recycled. The battery recycling drive ends Saturday, March 15th, at 1:00pm. Stick around after 1:00pm for a presentation from the Scouts about waste disposal!

What you can recycle

  • 9-volt Batteries
  • AA Batteries
  • AAA Batteries
  • Alkaline Batteries
  • C Batteries
  • D Batteries
  • Drycell Batteries
  • Iron Batteries
  • Lithium & Lithium-Ion Batteries

This box does not accept:

  • Other Battery Types
  • large lithium-ion batteries
  • large rechargeable batteries
