Get ready to think small and dream big. The Forest Park Review, the Historical Society of Forest Park, and the Forest Park Public Library are teaming up for a history project that proves some of Forest Park’s biggest stories come in very small packages.
This kickoff program launches our first-ever Small Scenes, Big Stories: Forest Park Dioramas, a community challenge inviting you to turn a real article from the Forest Park Review archives into a miniature masterpiece.
The fun begins with Jill Wanger, Circulation and Reader Engagement Manager at the Forest Park Review and a board member of the Historical Society of Forest Park. Jill will dig into the archives to share some truly wild Forest Park stories and show you how to find an article that’s worth shrinking down to diorama size.
Then Celia Pereira from the Forest Park Public Library will help you scale things down with tips, tricks, and creative ideas for building your own diorama, no tiny experience required.
Finished pieces will be displayed at the library, with an exhibit reception later in the month. Big imagination encouraged, small details celebrated.
