Purpose of Meeting

Pace Suburban Bus is hosting an open house on Thursday, June 5th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to receive public input and engage people with their survey. The I-290/I-88 Feasibility Study explores options to improve transit service along the I-290 and I-88 corridors between the western Cook suburbs and Chicago.

The study focuses on the potential for a bus-on-shoulder service and better connections to established CTA and Metra locations. The proposed route's goal is to reduce travel times and improve reliability.  With its bus-on-shoulder routes, Pace could make bus service a more efficient and attractive option for the residents across all municipalities.

At the open house, community members will have the opportunity to learn more about Pace, its services, and the proposed route. Attendees will be invited to review informational boards and provide feedback on key aspects of the route and share what factors would encourage them to use transit more frequently.
