This is part 2 of a 2 part course. You must have attended part 1 to participate in part 2.
AARP Smart Driver - The newly updated driving refresher course from AARP Driver Safety will be offered at the Forest Park Public Library at 7555 Jackson Boulevard in the Austin Room from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Friday, May 10th. The 2nd class will be on Tuesday, May 14th from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The class will be taught by certified volunteer instructor Debra DiPasquale.
Since 1979, AARP Driver Safety has helped nearly 20 million people stay safe, educated and confident on the road. AARP Smart Driver course participants will learn:
- Valuable defensive driving skills
- Proven safety strategies
- How to stay current with the latest driving technologies
- The current rules of the road, specific to your community
- How to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.
This course now includes new videos and updated course content, so you will have the most up-to date information for your state!
Many participants may be eligible for a multi-year insurance discount after taking the course.
Participants are encouraged to check with their insurance agent to see if they are eligible. There are no tests required to pass the course.
This course is brought to you free of charge by the Forest Park Public Library. Registration is required.
Due to the length of the class we suggest bringing in lunch to eat during breaks. We will also provide snacks.
